Fresh foods, fine wines and a relaxed style
At The Bell Inn, you have all sorts of choices, not least when you want to eat!. We serve food in our bar every day from midday through to 9.30pm, and even have flexibility on that finishing time for our guests' convenience. You can book a table in Briscoe's from 6.30 to 9.30pm each evening.
Even if you're just having a bite to eat in the bar, our menu is prepared from the same fresh foods and sources that we select for Briscoe's, and you are sure to find something to tempt you on our Daily Specials blackboard.
For our dinner guests, Briscoe's specialises in fresh fish, poultry, meat and game. Head Chef Scott Foy takes particular pride in creating traditional dishes with a modern culinary twist and sense of style. Scott has gained vast experience whilst working in some of the best restaurants and hotels in the country, he has worked with chef's like Shaun Hill and Ben Tunnicliffe and has a Michelin star background. Scott is dedicated to using locally sourced food and follows that priniciple by sourcing a significant amount of our produce from within the New Forest.
Our wine list has been developed with the same attitude, and we promise you a wonderful choice of fine wines from traditional French terroires to all sorts of New World wines in both Briscoe's and our Bar.
And when the weather permits, you can also enjoy al fresco dining in our adjoining garden at our round tables with thatched parasols.
